Alpine Roads is run by a family united by a lifelong passion for motorbikes and the mountains.  With dual British and Austrian roots, they blend the precision and discipline of Austrian riding culture with the spirit of British adventure. The family team who all share a love of the open road and the camaraderie of group touring.

For more than 30 years they’ve explored the Austrian Alps in depth, riding and driving every major pass and countless hidden backroads. They know these mountains not just as visitors but as locals, with an insider’s knowledge of routes, rest stops, and the kind of details that turn a ride into an unforgettable experience.

Having made the journey between the UK and Austria over a hundred times, they’ve refined the art of finding the most challenging, rewarding, and exciting roads along the way. Alpine Roads was born out of that experience — to share with others the thrill of conquering iconic mountain passes, the camaraderie of the ride, and the beauty of the Alps at their very best.

Our routes are built around experience, not speed. Each itinerary blends breathtaking mountain passes with time to pause, explore, and unwind. You’ll stay in hand-picked hotels chosen for their character, comfort, and authentic Alpine hospitality — the kind of places where you feel at home as soon as you walk in.

Mid-tour, we settle into Bad Kleinkirchheim, our Alpine base and home to two renowned thermal spas, scenic gondolas climbing into the high peaks, and a tranquil lake where you can swim or sunbathe. From here, riders can head out for unforgettable mountain loops, while companions enjoy spa days, local walks, or lakeside relaxation.

We design our tours to suit everyone — passionate riders, pillions, and those who simply love sharing the adventure without needing to ride every day. With our support van on hand, luggage is taken care of and rest days can be whatever you want them to be: spa, sightseeing, or simply a lazy afternoon by the water.
