Alpine Roads is run by a family united by a lifelong passion for motorbikes and the mountains. With deep British and Austrian roots, we blend the discipline and precision of Austrian riding culture with the spirit of British adventure. Riding together has always been at the heart of our family, and sharing that experience is what shaped Alpine Roads.

For more than 30 years we’ve explored the Austrian Alps in depth, riding and driving every major pass and countless hidden backroads. We know these mountains not as visitors, but as locals — with insider knowledge of the routes, rest stops and small details that turn a good ride into an unforgettable one.

Having travelled between the UK and Austria more than a hundred times, we’ve refined the art of finding the most scenic, rewarding and exciting roads along the way. Alpine Roads was born from that experience: a desire to share the thrill of conquering iconic mountain passes, the camaraderie of group touring, and the beauty of the Alps at their very best.

Our routes are built around enjoyment, not speed. We ride iconic mountain passes, stop where the views deserve it, and finish days early enough to relax and enjoy where you’re staying. It’s about flowing roads, great coffee stops, and time to breathe — not ticking off miles for the sake of it.

You’ll stay in hand-picked Alpine hotels chosen for comfort, character and location. These are places you’d happily return to on your own, offering genuine hospitality, great food and the kind of atmosphere that makes evenings as enjoyable as the ride itself.

Mid-tour, we slow everything down. Rather than packing and moving every day, we settle into Bad Kleinkirchheim — our Alpine base. From here, riders head out on unforgettable loop rides while pillions enjoy thermal spas, lakeside time, gentle walks or gondola rides into the high peaks. It’s a holiday inside a holiday, designed so no one feels rushed or left behind.

Alpine Roads is genuinely pillion-friendly. Partners are welcomed as part of the experience, not an afterthought, with plenty to enjoy on and off the bike. Solo riders, couples and friends all fit naturally into the relaxed rhythm of the tour.

With our discreet support van taking care of luggage and logistics, you’re free to ride light and focus on the experience. Small groups, carefully curated routes, and a team who know these mountains inside out ensure a personal, flexible and unhurried journey through the Alps.
